A short message from Gaza
Sunday, 15 December, the sea was very calm for fishing and the sun was shining . .
It was actually a nice sunny day after having a very strong cold weather front.
We should remember that Palestinian fishermen are suffering in the besieged Gaza Strip because of the ongoing illegal and inhuman Israeli naval blockade that prevents fishermen from exercise their basic right to fish freely. Fishermen in Gaza also suffer from the severe lack of fuel supplies needed to run the fishing boats and equipment.
Awni Farhat is a Palestinian living in Gaza. He has been updating about the current situation in Gaza particularly on the impact of the recent floods and hardship of fishermen.
